Spiraling Back to Limahuli
Limahuli
Here again
On the edge of the world.
Spirit full, So full
And complete.
All endeavors have come
To a temporary end,
Fading away in the presence of this place
Which is so full of God.
Swirling energies calling me up
Ready to jump off this world
Into spirit's arms.
Done.
I am done.
Nothing in this life was wasted.
I understand how all the threads have woven
Another fabric of my spirit,
Have cut another set of facets
Into the crystal of my soul.
If this life of mine
Was over today
It would be okay,
It would be good.
Just bury me here,
Below my friend the Hala Tree.
The completeness is intoxicating
So infinite, loving, and peaceful.
There's nothing left to do
In the presence of THIS
This boundless energy of All Is Well
Of saying COME and REST with me.
Oh Limahuli
Your turning hands have woven
a cord of loving energy
That pulls me back over and over again.
I feel so welcome here
So loved and accepted
And my visits at Makanas feet
Are like freeze frames of my life
Coming back to the same place
At different times
Recharging
And reflecting back again and again
A different person each time
Richer, fuller, with deeper understanding
Of what these Lives of mine are all about.
I hold onto you Makana
Knowing you will always be here
Outlive me
By thousands of years
And hundreds of lifetimes.
I rest in the knowing
That my visits with you will never stop
As long as I am reborn
To this Earth
I will come spiraling back
To Limahuli.
